Denim and the CityYou can find jeans pretty much anywhere in New York, but here are some stores that do denim right.
PRICE GUIDE: $$$: $150+
$$: $100-$150
$: $30-$100
Atrium $$$
(www.atriumnyc.com)
The crme de la crme of trendy specialty stores. If its hot and edgy, its herebut its also probably expensive. Atrium is your store if you have the money to splurge on trends or if theres a denim brand you cant find anywhere else in the city.
Bloomingdales Soho $$-$$$
(www.bloomingdales.com)
If you dig boutiques for their cool feel and selection, but scoff at their policies (limited exchange/return time or all sales final), then this is your store. Their jeans arent that cheap, but if get them home and theyre not to your liking, you can return them instead of hawking them on eBay.
H&M $
(www.hm.com)
The citys fast fashion king actually has impressive looking denim, at a fraction of other stores. You can actually buy more than one pair!
Levis $-$$$
(www.levi.com)
Levis is the everyman jean brand, and youre sure to find something that fits both your body and your budget. If premium denim is your thing, check out their new Capital E collection.
Macys $-$$$
(macys.com)
This tourist trap has a varied selection for every budget, and good sales on premium denim. And what they lack in customer service and dcor, they make up for in a lenient return policy.
