Rare Watch Rolex Deep Sea Special MKII
Designing water-resistant watches past 200 meters quickly becomes a challenge, so the fact that Rolex sells a timepiece that is tested to 3,900 meters (and known to still function at a mind-boggling 10,000 meters) is impressive to say the least. The current watch is descended from the extremely rare prototype MKII Deep Sea Special made by Rolex in 1960, of which less than ten were ever made. The Deep Sea Special featured odd innovations like a 30mm thick crystal that was later refined down to 5mm.
