Nixon—the southern Californian premium accessories and watch brand—announced the August release of its fifth LTD Collection, featuring one-of-a-kind timepieces designed by music and entertainment icons.
Contributors to this year`s collection are Fall Out Boy, Jack Black, Joy Bryant, Motley Crue`s Nikki Sixx, Angels and Airwaves, Silversun Pickups, Danny Way, Ozomatli, Ringo Starr, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ryu Nakamura and Tristan Prettyman. Proceeds will benefit the Grammy Association`s MusiCares MAP Fund and the Tony Hawk Foundation, two highly-regarded charities aligned with music and action sports culture.
Each one-of-a-kind timepiece features original artwork created using paint pens and hard rock maple, which was then inlaid to watch bands. Custom-engraved case backs bear the celebrity designer`s name and include a stamped serial number. A certificate of authenticity and custom packaging add the finishing touches to each LTD Collection piece.
Now in its fifth year, the Nixon LTD Collection began as a series of timepieces featuring leather watch bands created from the jackets, belts and guitar straps owned by the some of the most in-demand entertainers. Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Tony Hawk, Pink, Anthony Kiedis, Slash and more have contributed to the collection since its inception in 2004.
The 2008 LTD Collection watches are available for an average retail price of $350 - $1,500 at select retailers worldwide, including Barneys locations in New York, San Francisco and Las Vegas and globally at Colette, Beams, Como and more.
