Men's Socks - Matching Socks With Pants

Matching socks

Ok, this is a question I have sworn to know the answer to, but admittedly don`t. What are the rules for matching socks with pants?

Unless you like your socks to make a statement—which is totally acceptable—your socks should always be a shade lighter or darker than your pants.  Sometimes I like to mix it up and maybe wear a pair of gray socks with jeans, but only when I know someone will see them.  It`s those extra details that go a long way.
