How long should a man’s fingernails be?

A man’s fingernails should be no longer than the skin on his fingertip.  As a good rule of thumb, if you are able to pick a dime up off a table, then you know you are at a good length.  Futhermore, it should go without saying, you should keep your fingernails clean and shorter nails make this process it much easier to manage.
