Collar and Cuffs
John Liguori assembles a selection of collars available at Thomas Pink.
Escorted back to the original wood paneled office, Liguori placed an assortment of collars on his desk. The
options were both intriguing and intuitive. Eddie established his need, “For me, I like to wear a tie during the day, but often
go out straight from work without the tie. I need something that can do both.”

Eddie chooses a "cutaway collar" for its ability to be worn well without a tie.
“The solution” said Liguori, “is the cutaway collar. The cutaway collar is fashioned wider to support a large tie knot, but when undone, can hold it`s shape well and support the `
Hollywood` look.”`
The choice between cuffs is easy – either French (the kind you wear with cufflinks) or button. Pink also sports a wide selection of monogramming options. After some deliberation, Eddie chose a small `E` on button cuffs.
The Final Touch“So that`s it?” asked Eddie. It did seem anticlimactic; we were there for a full hour and still left empty-handed? “Not quite,” said Liguori as he presented a boxed-pair of brass collar stays. “We give these to people who buy gift fittings so they have something to wrap - you can expect your shirt in eight weeks.”

Brass collar stays are given with every shirt in the Personally Pink program.
Epilogue So is a $275 custom dress shirt worth the money? Only if you have the money to spend. The rich pay for convenience and experiences. In the case of Thomas Pink`s Personally Pink program, after one fitting session (which is quite fun), a client can phone-in orders for “perfect fitting” shirts time after time. No scouring the racks, no time spent in the fitting room.
