Rockefeller Center, the quintessential New York City ice skating rink featured in so many movies and home to the world famous Christmas Tree, is the busiest place to be come Thanksgiving and straight on through Christmas. Due to its popularity and tourist-trap-ism, The Ice Rink is the most expensive of the three, with per-adult rates ranging from currently $13.50, and peaking at $17.50 around Thanksgiving and again during the holidays. Rockefeller Center’s surroundings are some of the best. Rock Center Café, offering one of the best dining views in the city while overlooking the skating rink, is moderately pricey with entrées running from $21 to $33 and 3-to-5 course plans available. Be prepared for a constant crowd once the tree is lit on November 29th. After all, it only enhances the atmosphere

Best Bet: Personally, I like the Pond at Bryant Park the best. The ambience is really unique and the shops offer a variety of different items from typical Christmas souvenirs to typical NYC souvenirs to hand bags. You can make a couple hours out of it and even head over the Grand Central Station to check out the laser Christmas show on the ceiling. She’ll most certainly thank you before dragging you to do some more shopping.
