How To Get Comped In Las Vegas
Posted: Monday, September 18, 2006

Don’t ignore the minor comps. Use the same pit-boss-brownnosing method to get freebees at coffee shops, restaurants, shows and the like. Find your host or the pit boss in the area you're playing and ask if you've played enough for a comp for, well, you can be creative here. You’ll find more success by establishing a relationship with a host and asking them directly.

The same goes for getting casino-rate or free rooms. When you are ready to check out of the hotel where you've been staying and playing, go downstairs and ask to speak to a host. Tell them how awesome your casino experience has been at their hotel, etc.

And long before checkout, make sure you ask if the casino can take any charges off your bill. When I go to Vegas, I always charge everything to my room, from buffets to restaurants to specialty drinks in the bar. The key is that it never hurts to ask and you won't get anything if you don't try.

Remember that this is Vegas. A gambler can’t help but lose money here. So you might as well do whatever you can to get the most value from your visit. The only way to do such is by claiming any and every comp available. It’s also pretty cool to feel like the big man on campus, especially in the presence of co-eds with lowered inhibitions.
