Allow me to share a Vegas story. During my junior year of college, I was faced with a tough decision about what to do for spring break. My girlfriend chose to join her family trip to Puerto Rico. My roommates played football, so they were staying on campus, lifting weights and preparing for spring practice.
I had over a thousand bucks I got from my financial aid refund to spend on spring break. To a 21-year-old student, this was as close to a high-roller as I had ever been.
And everyone knows where the high-rollers go…
My Vegas experience was unbelievable. After losing half of my stash playing blackjack, I somehow got into “the zone” while playing the roulette wheel at the casino New York, New York. This was my first time playing roulette, but I turned out to be a natural. I had my system working to near perfection by the eighth hour (and ummm no, you don’t have to be an addict to gamble for 17 hours straight).
I had the pit bosses coming in one by one to replace the “dealer” and to ask if I wanted to “keep score”, which I foolishly declined. I say all this to state that if I had known then what I know now, as amazing as my experience in Vegas was, it could have been 100 times greater had I known the secret world of complimentaries.
The millions who visit Sin City annually want to experience that movie-esque gambling roll. They envision themselves at the epicenter of the gaming floor, with a crowd holding its breath at every turn of the dice. We all share this dream ripped from
Casino not only for financial gain, but also for the prospect of getting the free stuff that we’ve heard comes along with it.
