Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead) tackles the tale of Thermopylae in an adaptation of the graphic novel - Frank Miller’s 300. 300 surrounds the legendary battle in which three hundred Spartans courageously sacrificed their lives to stop the advance of an innumerable Persian army. Perhaps the most famous “last stand” in history, the Spartans killed nearly 70 men to each of their own, turning the tide of the war.
Blending history with Miller’s now-famous surrealism (Sin City), 300 promises to wow audiences with over-the-top visual effects and inspirational tales of personal triumph and heroism. A greater epic you will not find in 2007.
