Entrepreneurs - Vane Lifestyle Clothing
Posted: Monday, September 25, 2006

In every Vane garment, the trio attempts to maintain a meticulous attention to design, with an emphasis that every piece has a meaning or message behind it. “We are a premium brand with premium prices, but this isn’t just retail markup—it’s a representation of the work and hustle that we put into the production of each and every piece,” Minuskin says. The company is heavily involved with construction and design at every stage, working directly with their New York based production house to ensure that the colors and placements of each design are exactly as they envisioned. “We take the same care with our product even if only fifteen units of a certain piece are being made,” Poon says.

All of the clothes are manufactured in the US to not only ensure quality, but also to support American industries, Thanawala says. “Running a business, we’re well aware that it would be so much more cost-effective to source our fabrics from abroad – but that goes against our beliefs, especially as a company inspired by different cultures.”

Vane Lifestyle’s Spring 07 Line will be available in retailers throughout New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, the Midwest ,and the Bay Area, then will eventually be pushed internationally. “I hope that we can actually do something positive and unite young kids in a way that’s not trite or corny,” says Poon. “In the end, we are all Vane.”
