Grooming Lounge: The Greatest Shave Ever Try Me Kit

We all have heard other men complaining about the horrors of shaving, and what a pain it is to shave that mug of theirs on a daily basis. We agree that shaving is time-consuming and some of us give up altogether by just stopping the routine out of pure laziness. What if there was a product line out there that made shaving fun again? What if there was a product line that did not over dry the face after a close shave? We have your answer, and the products contained in such a glorious package come in Grooming Lounge’s “The Greatest Shave Ever” Try Me Kit.

The Grooming Lounge, established in 1999, “is committed to helping men look and feel more handsome.” Simple enough and well said. But do they have what it takes to truly offer the “greatest” shave ever? Debonair Magazine’s editor-in-chief, Joseph Federico, put GL to the test. [Read more...]

Men’s Jewelry And Unique Designs by Danielle

Danielle Salvati, owner of Unique Designs by Danielle, has a sixth sense as to what is hot right now in the men’s jewelry department. Debonair Magazine tracked this mastermind jeweler down and picked her brain. Here’s what she had to say…

Ms. Salvati shares some of her background with us and lets us know how to really make it in a tough economy. She says, “I was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey. I went to Bergen Community College for awhile and I worked many jobs. The last job I just had suddenly went out of business, and I decided to try out some other options. I was sitting home one day and was randomly making some pieces of jewelry; I thought to myself ‘This would be a great business for me to get into!’ It’s as if I had a major epiphany. I enjoy making jewelry … it’s like a therapy for me. It makes me really happy.” [Read more...]

How Mood Lighting Can Affect A Soiree

Debonair Magazine is very grateful to know the wonderful, helpful, and friendly staff at Seward Park Tech. Today, we are going to talk with Kieffer Ramirez about why lighting is essential for that perfect soiree. Let’s go!

DM: Why is lighting important to events of all sizes?

SPT: The most common use for lighting is to beautify and personalize a space. An entirely new world can be created by using strategically placed lighting and colors, and a plain looking space can be transformed to look like a million dollar venue. Most clients contact us because they want to add an elegant yet festive feel to their event, and we often meet with our clients at the space in order to learn exactly what they’re trying to achieve.

Colors are be combined to provide a specific mood to an environment, and with the advantage of modern lighting, these colors can be changed as the event progresses for a more intimate and moody effect. At Seward Park Tech, we only use modern lighting equipment such as computer controlled LEDs, as its smaller and more easily manipulated than the older lighting equipment we see at most venues. Lighting gives you countless options to personalize your event such as highlighting certain areas while darkening others, spotlighting centerpieces, placing your name or logo on the wall via a lighting projector as well as accentuating specific colors. Large venues often use lighting to give the space a cozier and more welcoming feel while smaller venues can be made to look grandiose. There is really no limit to what can be accomplished with lighting. [Read more...]
