Lost In The ‘90s, by Frank Anthony Polito

We here at Debonair Magazine believe in supporting those who have passion for life and the balls to make their own path where there isn’t one. Nick Parker of Z100 and WALK 97.5 is Debonair

Nick Parker. His Facebook page says he’s z100‘s youngest ZJ’s, which is quite an accomplishment. Debonair Magazine got a little glimpse as to who Parker – as he’s known to his friends – really is and what he thinks when he’s not at the microphone.

Paradise Pens, with Jim Paradise

Every true debonair should own a writing utensil from Paradise Pen. Jim Paradise, Executive Vice President of the company, tells Debonair Magazine how the upscale pen company got started and how the pens are not from your dad’s office. In our opinion, if it’s not Paradise, it’s not a pen.

Jim Paradise explained that although he has an official title for business purposes, Paradise Pen is a family owned business and titles really are not that important. He continued, “My father would be considered our CEO. My sister is also heavily involved in the business, and is currently a Buyer/Regional Manager.” [Read more...]

Investing in a Down Trending Economy (for the beginner), by Chris Trapani

Written by: Chris Trapani, Investing Hobbyist

Life is all about taking risks. You may fail and you may succeed, but the first step to success is understanding that you actually may fail. Make sure however, that you gave it your all. So where do you begin as a new prospective investor in a down economy?

Many people don’t wish to take, or even have the time to do the necessary research involved, so here are a few helpful hints I have devised to get you started on the right track. Decide whether you are a trader, or an investor. What is your risk tolerance? Find a discount broker. Zecco and TradeKing offer some of the most competitive prices for an online discount broker. You are in the driver’s seat and not dependent on a trader to call you back if your stock is tanking.  If you choose to work a trader, make sure that they have your best interests at heart.
