Mike: We succeed together and fail together.
DM: So do you want the big exposure? Pop icon or musical talent?
Mike: Both.
Nick: We’re catchy, yet sophisticated. We can appeal to our core audience yet have a monster hit.
DM: Is it possible to achieve world popularity?
Mike: Look at MJ, Dylan, the Beatles, the Stones - they have it. Times are different today. Technology has made people fickle. A hit today, gone tomorrow. But we believe that we can make music that lasts.
Nick: No doubt.
Nick: Look at the Chili Peppers, Nirvana - every ten, fifteen years, another amazing band comes around. We can only work our hardest and try to be the next one.
Mike: We’re not here to be a pop icon. You won’t see any of us in an upcoming movie. We want to make great music. We’re all friends, down to earth guys. We try hard and play what feels right.
Nick: We try to make good records. That’s all you can do.
(Eddie): So Mike, if XZibit resigns, you don’t want to take over Pimp My Ride?
Mike: What’s the pay?
(Eddie): Probably not so good, but definitely good exposure.
Mike: I’ll decline.
DM: So what’s on the horizon for Hollis Browne?
Nick: We have an EP out in April,
Without Your Love. Download a track on iTunes, buy it on Amazon, Napster. We’re having a big release in April as well.
(John): Are we invited?
Nick: Not in that outfit.
(John): (poor attempt at Christopher Walken voice) Whoa, baby slow down. Take a step back, you’re in my house.
Mike: We’re very excited about the release. You can definitely expect great music, great shows and a great time. We’re just real guys who love music. As long as people wanna listen, we’ll keep playing.
Nick: Lighter?
