Dear Paul,I recently graduated college and was thrust into the working world. My job is especially demanding, typically requiring 80-90 hour weeks. This of course leaves very little time for the gym, and after student loan payments, little money as well. I was always involved in athletics in high school and college, and find that my physical condition is weighing on me both mentally and physically. Can you recommend a light routine to help me keep my edge?
-SteveDear Steve,You can convert your office space into a personal gym by using movable objects.
Starting out by doing
push-ups with your feet elevated on a chair. These should give you the effects of bench-pressing by increasing the blood flow in your pectoral muscles and triceps.
After completing a chest workout, move on to doing a leg workout with
standing knee bends. This will also increase the blood flow in your quads. Along with this exercise we can add
calf and knee-raises to work the abdominal muscles.
The same procedures listed above can be used at home or a small space as well.
